Name: Jack Dawson (JD)

My name is Jack Dawson, I'm 20 years old and I was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. My family died when I was young, so I headed towards Europe, landing in places such as France, and landed in Southampton in 1912.
I was a lucky man to say the most. I guess you could say 'I'm like a tumbleweed blowin' in the wind'. To earn money, I drew people for 10 cents a piece.
But on April 10, 1912, my friend Fabrizio and I won a lucky game of poker, resulting in two tickets on the Titanic.
Little did I know, on the Titanic, I met the one and only woman that would ever have my heart; Rose DeWitt Bukater. However, she was at the top; First Class. I didn't really think I had a chance, but when I saw her running down to the back of the ship, I had to stop her from jumping overboard.
I think it was then I fell in love.
Later on, I found out she was engaged to a man named Cal. He was probably one of the rudest men I've ever met; he treated Rose like she wasn't a person at all. And her mother, oh God. She hated me so much.
With her mom, Cal, and all of the other First Class beings, poor Rose was trapped. She and I knew it both.
There was even a point when she said she couldn't see me anymore.
At that time, I had no idea what to do. I thought I'd lost myself, because I knew she was the only woman I could ever care that much for.
But love is a tricky game.
She came back, and I'm thankful for that.
I think that was when she realized she loved me too.
However, the Titanic struck an iceberg, and it ended up sinking. Putting my love before myself, I had to make sure Rose got on one of the few lifeboats. She did, but I guess she didn't have it in her to go without me, because she jumped right back on the sinking ship.
And down we went.
Like I wanted, Rose survived. I made her make a promise with me - to never let go, no matter how hard it was. She was going to die an old woman, warm in her bed. And she did.
But I - well - I died. With the mixture of both freezing air and water, the blood in my veins grew too cold for my heart, which lead to heart failure. I kept myself in the freezing water so Rose could stay afloat on a wooden door. I knew it was my fate, and I accepted it.
As long as Rose got to live on, I was happy.
I love Titanic
