Right now it's 88 degrees outside, but my mother's been keeping the house temperature at 79. It's been inching upwards for the most part, though, and doesn't seem like it's going to let up.

Yeah... The weather we're getting on the west coast might not seem too terribly hot to most people, but I can't stand heat. At least it's stable, though.

It's a shame when people don't understand what you're trying to say though. You're nice enough to reiterate yourself countless times. I couldn't be you. I would hardly consider myself crazy. I take major depression and other factors that may possibly contribute to suicidal thoughts very seriously, since I've been doing that road more than once. And, yes, it's really difficult to change people's minds once they decide to subscribe to some belief, but... damned if people who just don't ******** understand or are proud of their crap understanding just force me to say things in ways that probably are... not very nice. Like that Matt kid. I edited so many "******** you"s out of that, seriously...

I can kind of see where he is coming from. The definition of selfish is to do something for yourself, regardless of whether it's intent is to hurt others or not. But people usually associate selfishness with negativity. Therefore it would be wrong to call a suicidal person selfish.

The whole point of that thread was to call out on people who say it is selfish, because they love the person, want them in their lives, yadda yadda yadda.. it's hypocritical, because really they're just being selfish too.

Yeah, pretty much. That's why I feel internet anonymity is a mixed bag. On the one, it can be handy for people who can't express parts of themselves publicly without endangering themselves, but on the other, a lot of people use it just to cause trouble.

I sometimes struggle to find the right adjective to describe the tone. Jocular worked out, thankfully, because [silly] would probably hurt my credibility.
