❀ Kage [Often pronounced Kaah • Gweh by her florist] is in fact... A sentient plant (Falls under the Rosa Gallica, or French Rose grouping.) She is well aware of her being one, and does not bound into a crisis like many things the florist creates. This rose has been at the side of the florist since that of the florist's birth as merely a seed-- and is the only witness to the truth about Ashrai on the deathbed of the former Bun Mother, Sogorai, iteration 200. She had been sworn to secrecy in the final moments of this woman. Her petals are sealed on the matter-- even to her florist. The truth of Ashrai dies with the rose every winter...Only to bore into the flora until the late springtime.
How to care for Finicky Roses: A brief guide for florists.
❀ It is safe to note that no matter how tenderly you care for your roses, they are not an all-year round flora and will in fact die. All beautiful things die in time, and it is not your job to get frustrated with this notion. It is however, your responsibility to tend to the living roses as best as you can and pay attention to the flora's needs.
The rose bush in question falls under the florist classification. This means that she is bred to have every stem have one rose and is not prone to clustering like old garden or heartier rose bushes. She is how modern gardeners see roses. Full of petals and less fragrant than their Old Garden elder sisters. To be very specific, this bulb blooms Deep Secret (Hybrid Tea title) roses of a bright red shade. Why is this important? The modern class is not well-versed in surviving the cold, nor is it a survivor of usual ailments such as root-rot and other illnesses of the shrubbery. You will be tasked of ensuring that during the hot months, the flora receives at the most one inch of water within the week. When winter comes, allow the shrub to die. It is not fair to try and make the roses live longer on the bush. This goes for sentient roses primarily... Please be mindful to check the roots and do not skimp on providing dry soil if the roots are just too damp. This can make your rose bush sickly, rot at the base and die. Regular pruning is needed close to the base for florist roses. The bottoms can come in contact with disease and spread.

• Full sun (at least 6 hours a day.)
• Decent soil.
• Annual rainfall, supplemented during the summer (on average, 1 inch of water per week)
• Groom the plant. The plant will thank you.
• Good drainage. Check the roots! (soggy soil may cause root rot)
• Fertilizer during the growing season. (Feed the plant. Love the plant.)
