Hey, I'm Kai Animus from Tales of the Elements. (OOC: No, Tales of the Elements isn't a real Tales of game, Kazea Tetsujen created it.) I live in the village of Tresgard, though it's not my original home it's a nice enough place. I wound up coming here a few years ago because... well it's nothing I like to discuss.
The world we live in is called Ragnarok, and it's made up of a number of different Elements. Everyone in the world has a basic affinity for one Element or another. Let's see, I remember going over this, there are 6 elements. Wait, no... Ahh. Hehe, well I'll just list the ones I can remember! I'll start with Darkness, since that's my element! Then there's Light of course, and Wind which is Kazea's element ^^, um... Water which is Serafin's specialty. Um, the others I can remember are Fire and Ice... Eh, I know there are more I just can't remember them! Oh well, I'll just go ask Kazea later. Anyway, even if your Element is Darkness like me you can still control Light... but you won't be very good at it. But I can control the Fire Element better than Serafin can, because his Element is Water! It's kinda confusing I know, but it does make sense after a while. Heh, it's a good thing explaining this wasn't a test. Sheesh.
Well, if you wanna know more about me I'm not really sure what to say. I guess I'll start with the basics... I'm 17 years old and I've been living with Serafin Royce here in Tresgard since we came here back when I was 11 or so. I'm good at wielding swords, and I've even won a tournament or two in Tresgard so I figured why even bother with a shield? I consider my best friends to be Serafin of course, and Kazea Tetsujen. She's like family to me and Serafin and she has been ever since we arrived here. She's really special too, she's Tresgard's "Gatherer"! I'm not great at explaining exactly what a "Gatherer" is or does... but I can give it a shot. From what Kazea's told me it's a Gatherer's job to locate these special types of Trees that grow all over the world. If I remember right they are able to absorb a lot of Elements and they have these flowers called.. Dynamism Blossoms. Heh, I think that's right! Anyway, Kazea was chosen as a Gatherer by the people of Tresgard and one day she will have to go get a Blossom of each Element. All the towns in Ragnarok have a Gatherer that they choose to go and get the Dynamism Blossoms, because really bad things start to happen if they aren't used to restore the land every so often.Of course, when Kazea goes, me and Serafin are gonna go with her! We wouldn't let her do something like that without help, even if the other Gatherer's go alone.
Hmm, I've been talking about Serafin and Kazea quite a bit but you might not know them. Well, I suppose I can tell you a bit about them too. First off, there's Kazea.. and uh, well, she's Kazea! Heh.. uh, then there's Serafin and he's like a little brother to me, even though I swear he cheats at the games we play...
