I am Kyoura, the second strongest of the Four War gods. My brothers and I roamed Japan, reveling in war. Fighting made us feel alive. We felt joy from killing. We had heard about a strange Island that held only Half Demons, and set out to destroy them. (Disgusting things, half demons)The island appeared every 50 years, but that was no long wait for powerful demons such as ourselves. And besides, we could keep ourselves entertained fighting any we came across while we waited.
The attack started out well, terrified half demons and their pathetic parents meeting their end all around, with a few braver -and possibly stupider- souls fighting back. Then the Miko Kanade stole our powers from us, and we had no choice but to stop killing the half-breeds and destroy the rest of the invading demons in hopes that the wretched creatures knew how to regain our powers.
We finally learned that if we tossed a half demon into the cauldron of resonance, in which our powers had been sealed, we could regain a little of our original powers.
We wait patently for our powers to be fully returned, but that will not stop us from taking advantage of any who is foolish enough to visit the island.
During the battle, I met my now fiance Shauna. She is a phoenix without measure, who can absorb flames to give herself more power.
