Half Wolf, half girl. No one really knows how this happened, but I've been living with this delimma for several years now. Most the world doesn't notice my differences, so it isn't all that bad, but the few that do make it really difficult for me. It's not like I can hide my wolf eyes.
She wakes up every morning,
From the restless night before,
amid the shattered pieces
of her broken heart once more.
She cried herself to sleep last night,
With tears that fell like rain;
And once again she wakes to find
A soft, sad, pillow stain.
She sheds a warm, wet teardrop,
To start another day;
She searches for a quiet spot,
And by herself, she'll pray;
Will she spend many nights like this,
Alone with all her pain?
How often will she wake to find

These tears are nothing special,
They seem so commonplace;
Once again she dries her eyes,
And fixes up her face.

Does she run lifes race in vain?

Throughout the day she'll be okay,
Her friends will never know
The lonliness she hides within,

But sometimes it will hit her,
And again she'll feel the strain;
With tear-dimmed dyes, she'll recall
A soft, sad, pillow stain.
Later on, that self-same night,
When she finds herself alone,
She'll ponder all the answers
That life has left unknown.
And that is when the tears will start,
Like links of velvet chain;
Again, tonight, she'll leave behind,
A soft, sad, pillow stain.
