Whose feelings weren't they sparing, yours or someone else's? A mess in the house doesn't sound that bad(although it could also be extremely bad, without sounding like it), but why would they do that? I don't think any of my friends have ever actually made a mess of any part of the house. How were you ditched? They don't sound so nice, but I'm guessing they have good sides too...
