Stuff about Kamelot...oh and me! =)

Hello friends,
I have agonised over this decision for quite a few months now, and today I solemnly announce my parting with Gaia Online. My account will still remain, but I will not.
There will be a few of you whom this will come to no suprise to, for I have been very inactive on this site for several months now.
Back when i joined in early 2006, I came on this site religiously. I loved everything about it - the people I met, the games, the atmosphere. It was as if I belonged here and I could escape from the real world for a while into the Gaia world.
But not now.
I think many people who have been a member for as long as have or longer have noticed the massive change in Gaia. In my opinion, it has become colder and more sterile. It feels a need to appeal to the masses by promoting movies and tv programs. It no longer feels personal. The sheer variety of things I could on this site without spending a penny in '06 are still there mostly, but then Gaia has crammed all this other s**t over the past few months that they make you pay for is incredible. The site is becoming more and more exclusive by the week. Sure, no one's making me pay to use these 'exclusive' features, but I believe the more pricetags that Gaia puts on its features will put people off (especially in this time of recession). It has put me off almost entirely. Cheapskate students like me like free stuff! :]
'But why keep your account if you're not coming on gaia anymore?' I hear you cry.
I am keeping my account indefinitely for a number of reasons. I guess partly because I cannot find the heart to erase my entire existence from this site. I have had a lot of good times on this site and I was lucky to find the love of my life on Gaia (I think he knows who he is ^_~ ) and I'm keeping this account on his behalf. I will also be selling my items (except for my peasants clothing). Most of this will go to my boyfriend and the rest will be sold for gold.
I will still lurk on this site every now and then, but do not expect updates on my profile or see my status. If Gaia was to change the errors of its ways and stop being a promotional, money-grabbing site, then I may come back - but for now I do not want to feel like a namless cog in a giant corporate machine.
If you still want to talk to me, contact me on my email:

Anyways, much love to you Gaia and all you Gaians! I hope to come back one day! ^_^
