Metal: Dog Fashion Disco, Lamb of God, Theatre of Tragedy, Sirenia, Tristania, Opeth, Nightwish, Lunatica, Sinergy, Nevermore, Lullacry, Leaves Eye's, Lacuna Coil, Exodus, Epica, Dragonforce, Danzig, Cruachan, etc...
Gothic Rock: London After Midnight, Bauhaus, siouxsie and the banshees, Sisters Of Mercy (I know they say they aren't goth, but they've influenced a lot of people in that movement anyway).
Billy Idol, the Doors, Hasil Atkins, Primus, Mr. Bungle, Alice Cooper, Faith No More, and such are good too. I just don't really know where to place 'em.
