Kyleandra is the daughter of Ronon and Teyla. She was born on the Mainland during a time when the Atlantis Expedition was undergoing a change in leadership. Colonel Sheppard had retired due to the recent decease of his wife and Dr. Weir was given a position within the IOA. Teyla returned to the mainland shortly after Sheppard and his Daughter Brighlynn returned to his home through the stargate, Kyleandra father went with them in an attempt to start a new life for his family. She her mother and older brother Johlran remained on the mainland for a short time before Ronon sent for his family and they followed him to Earth.

A few years later it was requested by the IOA that Sheppard return to Atlantis and again take command of the military presence there. Ronon, Teyla, Johlran, and Kyleandra happily returned with them.
