Being the oldest out of the five nightmare sisters, Sabra was forced into the role as head of her family. Being a vampire has it uses, after her parents massacred her human lover's clan, she sought out to revenge him, but by leaving the clan, she failed her duty as the eldest. But she was then forced back into becoming the head of the family at the death of her parents. Now, hiding her power and her life, she tends after her 4 sisters, Mystic, Fuyumi, And the nightmare twins, Erika and Alianore.

The chains symbolize that she bound to the duty of her family, and cannot leave by any means necessary.

(Kurayami means "Darkness" In Japanese, And she was born in the Meji Era.)
