also, be sure to post once each day in your journal, even if its just one word. that'll get you 50 gold, just like the first post in the forums, and you'll get 40 the first time you post on a profile.
gold goes down after that, but keeps on coming usually at least 4 or 5 times or more. i switch from posting once on a forum, to once on a profile, back and forth like that, to get a little extra gold.
voting in the arenas takes about 5 or 10 minutes and can earn you about 50 gold too.
always do the daily chance. you can get anywhere from 25 to 250 gold clicking on the 8 popcorn machines each day. some of that gold comes from items you'll occasionally earn that you can sell.
if you do all these things each day (takes about 45 minutes) you should have 400-500 gold each day. by the end of the week, 3000, by the end of the month close to 15000.
