I'm not so good with words.
But a hero's word is true.
I swear that I'm not joking
When I say that, "I love you."
A hero's duty never sways.
The city needs me most.
I wish I could step down and say,
"I want to keep you close."
A hero's life is dangerous:
Full of life threatening events.
But with my strength and super speed,
I'll jail all of those miscreants!
I may not always be there.
I may not always call.
A hero's line of duty
Is one of many brawls.
Ignore my cuts and bruises
They don't hurt when you're around.
The only thing that ever hurts
Is when you're not safe and sound.
You sit at home and wait for me,
And hope I am okay.
When I come home to you,
You know just what to say.
You stick around, you say too much,
I never will quite get it.
And I'm completely positive
It's only love that you emit.
I hope I can protect you.
And keep your injuries at zero.
And I hope you just know
You're pretty much my hero.
I hope you never leave me.
I hope you don't go far.
