Hey all...well, I don't know about "all," saying people don't often visit this page of mine. Anywho, about me...uh...oh, right. My name is Yakima Fernandez. Some say I'm very difficult to get along with - a lot of Aquarius are. I have few friends, and all my old friends don't communicate with me anymore...yes, quite the sob story. So, I dropped out of school when I was in 8th grade. That's when I lost my friends, because I started going to the local Community College. For a long time I was angry that I did not have a social life, but I had to decide between friends and a poor education, or friendless and an excellent education. I've been there for 4 years. I just graduated from this college last fall, so Fall 2006. Yes, I'm very happy. Now, I'm 16, and I will be starting at the University of New Mexico in just a week or so. What will I be studying? Classical music. Yes, I'm a musician. I play the violin. How good am I?...hard to say. I'm no beginner, but I'm no master either. On the scale of Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master, let's say that I'm advanced.
For some people, music is a hobby. For some, it is profession. For me, it is my life. Whoa, that was deep. No, really, I am quite serious about violin and music. I play in the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Orchestra, and I love it. Lots of the violinists are better than I am, however, I am a first violin, so I have at least some status. I'm always rather nervous around the girls in the symphony...I've never been good around girls. Plus, the fact that I kinda like a few of them doesn't help.
Family? I live with my mother and brother. I have family in California, and family in Germany. Me mother's German. My father? Well, he might as well be dead, and I wouldn't know it. I've seen him few times in my life, the last being when I was 12 or 13, I can't remember. His reason for screwing my mother, getting 2 children, and then ditching his family? Vietnam victim. Yeah, he was in that war, and apparently, it messed him up a bit, but I think he could at least put forth some effort to live with us...maybe he does...but I wouldn't know. Yes, yet another sob story.
Well, why not a little about my appearance. I'm around 6 ft. tall, I have black hair...and it's long. Very long. I keep it in a braid most of the time, and it reaches my butt. I have brown skin, brown eyes, and occasional bad cases of acne. Currently, my skin is doing pretty good - it has to do with your diet. So, yes, Native American and German heritage. Interesting combo. I'm thin, and I dress in whatever I have. Shopping is not a passtime of mine. Kinda need money for that, and, since I'm a student, I'm almost always flat out broke.
My interests? I LOVE anime. My favorite anime is Full Metal Panic! Very good anime. I like reading and writing. I keep a daily diary, writing about the events of the day. Some of you may even be in it! I'm a Metroid fan. Clearly, I also like being on Gaia. However, now that I'm going to be starting up at a University, I'm going to cut back on my time spent on Gaia. However, if you ever pm me, I'll most certainly reply...eventually. Oh yes, and what should be first on this list of my likes, interests, or whatever, are...GALS! I've only had 1 girlfriend in my life (for about 3 weeks), and she lives in Germany...we're still friends, but long distance relationships are VERY difficult to keep going, as some of you may know. Yes, I'm attracted to gals, but what's the big deal, lots of guys are. Currently I'm single...am I looking?...possibly. However, I'm probably not going to start an online relationship anytime soon.
Some people say that instruments have genders. What do you think? I do believe that they have genders, and I know for certain that my violin is a female. There's something about how she sounds...we've been together for around 7 years now. People say that I need to get a new one, because this 200$ violin from Romania is not good enough for my skill level...however, I feel strangely attached to her. We've been through the good and the bad times...we've traveled many places together...we fit each other perfectly...we live together...and we shall die together. Heheheh, that was good too! Well, all this text is probably making many of you dizzy, so this is Yakima Fernandez signing off - I'll just finish this with a picture of my violin...

It's been a few wild years. Many amazing things happened. I traveled the world, met awesome people, and auditioned for the Chuataqua summer music festival (never mind the fact that i didn't get in >.<) I'm going to audition again every year until a. they accept me finally, or b. they won't listen anymore XD
!! - With much help, I finally made my ruby mask. Thank you most to the amazing peach. 3rubies!! And thank you to everyone else who helped. I would love to write a long list of everyone who helped me get slates....buuuut...fact is I started collecting these large fish too long ago to remember everyone x.x And I'd feel terrible if I left someone out. That being said, off the top of my head, I'll...name some names...and don't be sad if i didn't mention you...or LOL if i put you in here, and you didn't actually help me get slates XD
