Yes, I made 100k in a week!Here's my story!
I've been on Gaia for about a year. The most money I've ever had in my hands was around 20k. Yes, I bought some monthly items, but they were mostly for my own uses.
A couple weeks ago, I started a shop, the WordLove Express. It's a writing shop. (You can buy descriptions for your role-playing characters, among other things. You can buy short stories, too!) I bumped 20 pages on my own, but I only had ONE customer!
Then I stumbled upon Francis Drake's How to Make Your First 100k Without Begging or Bumping guide and I was intrigued. Make 100k? That's more money than I'd ever dreamed of! I read through the entire guide, beginning to end, and took his advice.
Here's how I did it.
1) I traded Easter items. The small eggs sold for 200g each. I bought them for 150g and sold them for 195g. The big eggs sold for 400-500g each. I would wait at the marketplace for someone to sell for 350 or less, then buy it and sell it. I would make a minimum of 50g profit each transaction! It adds up! Sometimes, people would see eggs for 50g. When I was fast enough, I made 350 profit!
I was lucky. The timing was great. At that time, the easter items were hot, hot, hot, so a lot of people were buying and selling.
2) After making around 30k that way (30k in pure profits, trading on a 500g item... so ANYONE with 2000g can do the same thing), I realized it was April 15. Monthly letters! So I traded those. I would buy them at 500g or more off market price, and sell them at 5g off current market price. (So it market price was 15000, I would buy at 14500 and sell for 14995.) It takes patience! 500g a transaction is slow, but if you don't have a better method, it WORKS.
I got lucky. When market price was 17000, I managed to buy about 7 for 15000, which is 14000 profits.
And that, basically, is how I made my 100k. Anyone with patience can do it! It's not super easy... You do need to pay attention and focus. But it's fun. And now I can buy a dream avi!
