[ My Background ]
As I was growing up, I was educated in various subjects that would be necessary to know in order to take the place of my father, Sir Arthur Hellsing, as Bureau Director of the Hellsing Organization. My father died when I was 13. He left me the task of leading the Royal Protestant Knights and protecting England, and asked his brother, Richard, to aid me.
Out of jealousy, my uncle, Richard Hellsing, attempted to kill me in order to gain the family inheritance. My father had told me of a room in the deepest dungeon in the manor, in which I would find my "salvation". I assumed that it would be some amazing, brave man, but it turned out to be a dried-up corpse.
My uncle found me and shot me in the shoulder, splattering my blood across the floor of the room. The assumed corpse began to lick the blood up, and came back to life in the form of a long-haired, pale man. It killed all of my uncle's accomplices. My uncle attempted to shoot me one last time, but the newly rejuvenated corpse blocked the bullet with its arm.
I grabbed a gun and shot my uncle, making myself the last descendant of the Hellsing bloodline. I learned the vampire's name was Alucard, and that he was created solely to serve the Hellsing family. I was his new master.
I still hold the title of Director of Hellsing, and as such, I intend to carry out my duties to the best of my abilities.
If nothing else, count on that.
