Who I Am
Name Alfred Ashford
Birth Date 1971
Blood Type unknown
Height 176cm
Weight 61.8kg
Affiliation Umbrella Inc.
Alfred was born as a part of his fathers experiment. In the past, his father had disgraced the Ashford name, not living up to the legacy created by both Veronica and Edward. Specializing in genetics, Alexander's one great success was to find a way to enhance the human intelligence gene. He then began a secret cloning project under the code name, Veronica, conducting the experiment in his Antarctic research facility. Using his own DNA and DNA collected from his great ancestor, Veronica (whose body was buried in a tomb at the European estate), he managed to create a pair of twins. First came a boy, whom he named Alfred. Alfred had above average intelligence, although he could not be considered a genius and was thus dubbed a 'failure' by his father. Then came a girl. Alexia. She was the genius Alexander had been looking for, and had the beauty to match. As the twins grew, Alexia was occupied by her studies, and later, her job at Umbrella Inc., leaving Alfred by himself most of the time. However, Alfred didn't mind. He loved his sister to the point of obsession, possibly even incest as implied by some of the notes he left her. However, despite his love for her, they had a very unequal relationship. He treated her with nothing but love and respect, and she lorded over him as a master might lord over a slave. Then, one day when the twins were both 12 years old, Alfred learned the secret of their creation and began to distrust his father to a point where he grew to hate him. Later that same year, Alexia tested her new 'T-Veronica' virus on their father, although, ironically, it was a failure.
--
Alexia would then choose to inject herself with the virus, meaning she would have to be put into a cryogenic sleep for 15 years. This was the first time Alfred had ever truly been alone, and would begin his descent into madness. Due to his fathers 'mysterious death', Alfred became the 7th generation head of the Ashford family, and quickly began to ascend the ranks of Umbrella, despite his young age. In 1993 he graduated from a well-regarded British university and was given control of the Antarctic and Rockfort facilities. In December of that same year, the training facility for Anti-B.O.W squad members is completed and in 1994 Alfred has a prison and a private residence built on the island. Whilst Alfred was one day destined to take control of Umbrella, he seemed more interested in torturing prisoners and adorning the Rockfort base with his military collectibles. Umbrella knew all about this, and saw Alfred as nothing more then a petty dictator attempting to emulate a greatness that was far beyond him.
--
As the years passed and with no one to counsel him due to his paranoia, Alfred's mental breakdown began to accelerate. He would spend his days obsessing over how he would restore his family's power. Not only did he have that to deal with, but there was still the crushing loneliness from Alexia's absence. However, Alfred found a way to combat this. Another personality slowly began to develop in his mind. That personality turned out to be an idealized version of Alexia he had created from his own imagination. This Alexia would listen to what he had to say, have conversations with him, do as he said, yet still maintain a certain dominance over his life and his actions, similar to that of Norman Bates and his "mother". He would go so far as to mimic her voice, and even dress as her in order to maintain the illusion. However, he would have brief lapses in which he realized what he was doing was a sham. Thoughts of how 'Alexia didn't like to be touched', and memories of the cold Antarctic base would plague him.
--
It was in December of 1998 that his whole life would be changed. Albert Wesker had found out about Alfred and his lack of ability, and so he staged an attack on the Rockfort Island base in an attempt to steal the T-Veronica, thinking that Alexia really did live there. It was around the same time that Claire Redfield was brought to the island as a prisoner. Alfred, being the paranoid man he was, believed that Claire was a spy, sent to infiltrate the base and possibly even harm his 'darling Alexia'. He had numerous encounters with her, and an encounter that revealed to him what he had known deep down all along. Alexia was never with him. He then perused her all the way to his birthplace at the Antarctic base. However, it was here he would meet his end in the most tragic of ways. Whilst in an encounter with Steve Burnside, he was shot numerous times, plunging to his death in a deep glacial rift. Just before he died, he managed to stagger to the chamber where Alexia was sleeping. Despite Steve being the one to kill him, he still harbored a deep hatred for Claire as he staggered onwards, slowly making his way up to where Alexia was being stored. It was around this moment she awoke (whether it was Alfred's voice, her own power or the fact that it was finally time for her to awake was never made clear). Alfred got to see his sister one last time before he died, calling her name as he collapsed. Alexia would then go on to be defeated a short time later, bringing to rest the Ashford family legacy.

Would you like me to change, Mr. Ashford?
-She chuckled softly, pulling at her shoulder holster.- Just dressing for fun. Does it make you nervous?
-the blonde grinned and looked him up and down.- Always dressing like such a gentleman.

I can't tell if you're saying I aged into adulthood well or if it's obvious I'm aging into an old woman.
So nice to see you again, Alfred. You look well.
*gives him a hard pat on the shoulder* I don't see you payin' enough.
