~Backstory~
On the moon, word spread around about earth rabbits being mistreated. Selkie, a rabbit in the lunar defense corps, had heard this and decided to go down to the earth herself and take care of the problem. She never got permission from the Watatsuki sisters to leave the moon...
Once on the earth, she met a group of earth rabbits, who had fled from Eientei because of all the work they had to do and the little bit of money they got for doing it. So, in the forest behind the Myouren Temple, Selkie stole from the storehouse for these little youkai. And as she helped them, more and more came.
Eventually, the owner of the temple, Byakuren Hijiri, asked an oni for help with this thief. The oni, Ibara, found Selkie and confronted her. Selkie kind of admired Ibara; She had strength, and seemed to know right and wrong. Eventually, Selkie ended up living at the Myouren Temple so she could help work off what she stole from Byakuren's storehouse.
She thinks of Ibara as a great friend of hers and likes being with her.
