About a Gaming Grandmom and her Runescape-Playing Son
Hi there!I am not a teenager, (I still remember being one, back in the seventies razz ) but my son is! He is 17 now and has been playing for Runescape almost non-stop for several years. He has chronic asthma so this has been his outlet for fun and accomplishment. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but I have come to respect the game, even having him teach me the basicis on my own character. Through that I got interested in the whole world of online gaming.
I confess I am a former class nerd. Being fourteen was one of the hardest years of my life. I was rejected by the other kids. I don't know why the "in crowd" picked on me to this day?! I still remember a couple kids who were mean to me. You know that still hurts to think about even now..and I am 54! I say that in hopes that those of you who are picking on somebody will think twice about it. Do you want to be remembered as someone who made a kid's life miserable for the rest of his or her life? A little kindness to an outcast could mean so much...
Are you a class nerd? You are welcome here! You are cool to me and I would like to have you for a Gaia buddy!
Some of my interests include these topics: Bible, Christian, Lutheran, family, playing computer games with my son, dealing with asthma (two of our kids have it--argh!)choir, singing, piano, pets, [we have a dog and 2 guinea pigs now] nature study, laughing, making friends of all ages from everywhere, just to name a few...how about you?
