Sounds like my winter... I'm pretty sure I've asked this before, but how long are your summer holidays? I only have this week before I'm back at uni. At the start of the break it seemed so far away... and I haven't done anything productive on the break either...
Nothing much has happened to me... at least I don't think it has - I didn't check when you wrote this comment... Oh well. Yeah, so this is a short comment.
I think that if you get the opportunity to get an education rather than work, take it. They should support you. I know my grandad... at least I think it was him... had to work and let his siblings get an education - they ended up better off than him, and all because his parents made him start work early to support them. That's one of the resons that I prefer to go to uni, unlike my siblings... Bad grades isn't very good, but if you keep them high enough to get into the course you want, then thats all that matters. So long as youre happy and have an idea of where you are headed just ignore comments from them.
Yeah, Australia is very Americanised, but at least we have a Prime Minister now that can think for himself rather than having one that wont do something unless Bush does it. I think that the declaration of independence was in the mid 1700's actually. If I have my history right... because not long after the British had to look for somewhere else to send the convicts which is where Australia comes in which had the first fleet arrive in 1788 - a bit of a history lesson for you =P.
Why would they tell you to make something of yourself? You're still in school. I didn't bother with a job until I finished high school, except for pamphlet delivery, which doesn't count. No one's perfect at that age... except perhaps me =P. I have to say that working is overrated. I do it because I need the money and I feel lazy sitting around all day doing nothing, getting bored out of my brains.
Yep, I've heard of 4th of July - Australia is a wannabe America, so everyone's heard of it... it was when they became indepenant from Britain wasn't it? Became a Republic? We have a similar holiday, though it's to do with the confederation of Australia where all the states joined together to become the Commonwealth of Australia... though I think we should break off from Britain, but everyone seems to like being part of a Monarchy... anyway, the holiday is January 26th - Australia Day, been and gone and probably celebrated in much the same way as July 4th.
Haha, one of my friends have been painting their house as well. I'm glad that I don't have to... Yeah it does add value and when it looks nicer it's so much better - looks newer.
I do whatever they tell me to do. It's admin support and relief reception. Mostly I do filing, which is harder than it sounds especially if you can't find the file... or don't know which one of the many in that name it goes in... They don't need me to work full time. They have a couple of other people doing what the same job as me and we've been spread out over the week. I don't mind though, gives me time to do other stuff. I didn't get a job until I finished high school... I delivered pamphlets in year 11 and 12, but that doesn't really count, they don't pay much.
It was unintentional that I had replied. For some reason I thought I had... So I'll reply to both of the comments, and telling you that in case forgot what we were talking about before and wondered why I was going off on a tangent.
I still don't think the most common birthdays are February or March... though your guess is right, my birthday is in February. I've never tried to guess which month someones birthday is in - I usually can't even get their age, so I don't take it that far. I'm really bad at guessing peoples ages.
I hate it when the holidays go fast, but if I haven't been doing anything, then they seem to drag by except for the last week which usually seems to pass without you realising it, then you're back in school. What painting have you been doing?
I have finally got a job. Unfortunately they only have me working two days a week during the break, but that's better than nothing, so I won't complain. But it's a good job. I didn't think I would be able to get another job in a law firm, but somehow I did and I'm really happy about it. And it's a different area of law to the other place I was working, so I'm going to get knowledge of another area of law before I study it.
Long holidays. That's how long my summer break is now. But when I was in school it was six or seven weeks, with three lots of two week breaks during the year.
If I was in high school I would have been devastated if I failed a subject... then again, so long as I passed the subjects for uni... or at least four of them, I was fine. You only need four to get the... uh, I don't know how to explain it because I don't know what the equivalent is over there... I never got any mail from the uni's. All I did was apply during the required period... but that was for the four major uni's, so I don't know how to apply to the others...
Cool, 17. June seems to be a popular time for birthdays. Mine has been and gone. You think 17 years is a long time. Wait until you hit 20 - no longer a teenager... and most of that time I've been at school. Yeah, I know all about staying up late on holidays and sleeping in... though I don't sleep in after 12... I try to get up no later than 11. I'm usually able to do that though. And I hate the sound of the alarm clock, so when the holidays come around it usually gets turned off unless I have to get up early.
How long is your summer break? I think you've told me before but I can't remember. Do you have much planned? I have exams this weeks but it's not too bad because I only have two exams, one I had today and the other one is on Thursday, and they're both open book, so we get to take any amount of notes in. Makes it easier, but it doesn't guarantee that you'll pass.
I was exactly the same in high school, no study and passes, and wondered how I would do if I did study... it never did happen... Even being at uni I pretty much don't study, though I have done so for these exams, especially for the one on Thursday because that one is really hard... at least in my opinion.
I didn't realise pictures had feelings. I was wary about joining thinking that it would be complex, but after being on for a few days I realised that it wasn't. Yeah, I hate how expensive everything is too, but that's because of supply and demand... something to do with economics. It's not too hard to earn a decent ampunt of gold... then again I haven't spent too much time on here so I haven't had much expectation about how much gold I'm going to get... though I don't know if I'm ever going to be able to get the elegant veil which I'm currently questing.

Cute? I don't think I've ever been called cute before.
There's nothing wrong with getting up at 11am. That's when I've been getting up, except for the two days a week I work.
