The Path to Salvation
Though our bodies are doomed to perish, we can transcend the inevitable conclusion of our mortal existence. With dedication, clarity, and preparedness, our souls may be saved. Dedication requires physical fitness, but also practice in the necessary skills, such as a smooth draw, a clean reload, a perfect cut, a familiarity with one's weapon of choice. Clarity demands that one does not become lost in the chaotic ecstasy of battle, or the slow peace that comes between skirmishes. Preparedness is separate from dedication. It entails keeping your blades sharpened, your magazines loaded, your firearms cleaned. Always have enough ammunition, food, and water to get you through the next conflict, whenever that blessed day may come. Most importantly, do not despair when the singing of the swords and the roaring of the machine guns seems only a distant memory, a sorrowful melody. Remain at the ready. Keep your faith. The next battle is closer than you may think, cherished warrior.
