I found another book by Neil Gaiman called Neverwhere. It was just as good; he's got such an amazing penchant for characters. If you haven't already, maybe you take a look at that one too.
I did it. I read Good Omens. It was amazing. Crowley and Aziraphale made a magnificent pair. And the Riders of the Apocalypse were excellent adversaries. It was most definitely a feel good book. ^^
Harry Potter was indeed one of the most creative and downright amazing series to pop up in a long time. Even though all of the characters I enjoyed always seemed to die off, it was still a great read. But Rowling's announcement about Dumbledore's sexual orientation did catch me off guard for a moment.
I've heard nothing but good things about Good Omens. I know someone who owns a copy. I should probably ask if I can borrow it, huh?
As for having a full plate, I know the feeling. I've been wanting to finish Dan Brown's Angels and Demons for months now, but school calls and makes me read To the Lighthouse instead. By the way, don't ever read that if you don't have to. It's pointless.
The Artemis Fowl series is a definite favorite. As is the book Battle Royale. And The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is the most hilarious series I've ever read.
