A few inadequate words...

I am, first and foremost, a mother. I have two daughters - born 10-2-08 and 11-11-11. They are the light of my life.
I can never find the words to describe this "about me" concept. What do you wish to know? I am kind but cannot stand stupidity. I am independent, but still needy. I am fiercely loving and loyal, and will defend those who are close to me in an instant. I love my dearest friends and my family. I trust few people. While I'm willing to make acquaintances and small talk, I find little joy in these shallow friendships that fade away with time; I rarely find people willing to give enough of themselves and accept enough of me to be really considered close friends. I believe true love never dies.

Once a person is in my heart, they are in for a lifetime. I may occasionally let go, by choice or circumstance, but I never forget. Though people may not be with you through your entire life, every moment counts and every person enters your lifetime for a reason. We are all here to teach and to be taught, to take and to give. There are always lessons to be learned.
I tend to live a sedentary lifestyle though it is not necessarily my choice, and I often become restless. I love to travel and be outside, but I hate heat and humidity and bugs. I often lament the life I've led and envy those who spend their entire lives in one place. I yearn to lay down roots and yet simultaneously desire always to be on the move. I can hold my own in any argument, but prefer not to fight. I'm a peacekeeper by nature. I am typically quiet, but can be extraordinarily opinionated on some subjects. I am introverted but have an inescapable need for companionship. I love deeply and passionately, with devotion - and though it is rare, I can hate just as deeply.
My entire being is a contradiction of itself, and my mind a maze with no end. I am no simplistic creature that can be described in a paragraph, so if you truly wish to know more, then you should endeavor to get to know me better.

Some simple things that bring me pleasure...
Favorite scent: jasmine & honeysuckle.
Favorite flower: Tiger Lily
Favorite colors: Purple & blue (especially turquoise and sapphire), but not together.
Favorite material: velvet.
Favorite sound: my baby's laugh
