Michael Joeseph Jackson

Michael Joeseph Jackson was born on August 29th, 1958, in Gary Indiana. He began his musical career as lead singer of the group he formed with his brothers, Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, and Marlon. They named their group the Jackson 5.

In 1968, the Jackson 5 signed with Motown Records, producing their first singles, "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save", and "I'll Be There", all making number one hits. The Jackson 5 made a total of 14 albums with Motown.

In 1976, the Jackson 5 left Motown, signing up with Epic. They had to change their name from the Jackson 5 to The Jacksons. They then made a total of 6 albums.

In 1997, Michael made his first film starring as the scarecrow in "The Wiz." At this time, he also met Quincy Jones. Michael teamed up with Quincy, and made his first solo album with Epic.

In 1982, Michael released the world's most biggest selling album, "Thriller." He sold over 50,000,000 copies. He also produced 7 hit singles. "The Making Of Michael Jackson's, Thriller," became the worlds most biggest selling home video.

In 1983, Michael performed the "Moonwalk."

In 1984, he won 8 grammy awards in 1 night.

On December 9th, 1984, Michael Jackson announced he was splitting from his group and going solo.

In 1987, he released his album, "Bad."

In 1988, he wrote his first auto biography speaking about his career and his childhood.

In 1991, he signed with Sony Music, releasing his fourth solo albim, "Dangerous." At this time, he also founded the "Heal The World" foundation, helping the lives of kids around the world.

In 1994, he married Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley.

In 1995, Michael released his 5th solo album, ''History.''

On November 14, 1996, he remarried to Debbie Rowe, and they had their 1st child, Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. Then, they had their second child, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson Jr.

In 1999, he released "Blood On The Dancefloor."

In September of 2001, he selebrated his 30th anniversery of being a solo artist. He also reunited with his brothers, performing their biggest hits.

In October of 2001, he released "Invincible."

On June 25th, 2009, the beloved Michael Joseph Jackson passed away of Cardiac Arrest.(heart attack) His funeral was help on July 7th, 2009.
