settlement. post-apocalyptic seems overdone almost, whereas I have yet to read a good settlement novel, I'd like to see more until I find one I like
If you haven't already, you should check out Anne McCaffrey and her Dragon Riders of Pern series. Phenomenal author. The early books are settlement on the planet, and then the later books follow life after settlement is, well, settled with a new culture centuries later.
