Chaos: the land where it's natural not to make sense. Where the least possible event to occur is the most likely to happen. It twists your mind and sanity into a pretzel, causing you to sit still and wonder where all the pretty birds flew off to, or how you're floating 3 miles off the ground, or perhaps why you feel an insatible desire to tear off your own arm.

Very few mortals have been able to enter this place and leave with their minds and bodies intact, if they leave at all. But those who can retain sanity, or even enjoy their stay in Chaos, become the heirs to the throne, next in line to rule Chaos. Moonlit Shadow is the first one in 6 millenia to rule the power Chaos, to keep it's godlike power locked within the realm it belongs.

Moonlit Shadow has no true rivals, or friends, really. From time to time, Chaos takes hold of him and tosses his soul into a new realm, so his friends, and even more importantly, loves, are carefully chosen, as he knows his time on any one planet could be very short.

But even he makes mistakes.

He came to Gaia after Chaos threw him into it one day. And there he stayed for quite a long time, eventually marrying Torchet. But just as his daughter was born, he was once again thrown into another world.

He is in the process of attempting to cross back to Gaia, but is so far unable to do so. The doorway to other realms lies within one's own mind. But such doors are only revealed through extensive meditation and the training of one's own will.

For all he knows, he may never be able to return. But he tries.

Trying is all he can do.

UPDATE: As it turns out, Moony was finally able to cross back through the walls into Gaia, but his Chaotic powers are far weakened. (but don't worry folks, he can still pull random objects out of his back pocket.)

However, it seems that for all his trials, he was too late. No one is left for him here. But the crossing was exceedingly draining on his willpower. So for now, he shall stay.
