About
Hello, my birth-given name is Luna, but after I fell from my perch, I was called Nadhja. I suppose I ought to tell you my story.
I was the goddess of the moon. My creator graced me with the wings of snow to fly to where ever I saw fit, and elven ears so I could always hear her lullabies. My job was to sit atop the moon and recite my makers melodies so all of Oceanus could fall into the deep slumper they craved. One day, as I was singing, I looked down through the clouds and saw a small figure walking the streets! He was not affected by voice at all! This appalled me. Everything that set foot upon Oceanus was under my power, but this... thing was not. I tried to get a closer look at him, but as I leaned forward, I lost my grip and fell. I screamed in shock and the thing looked up at me. His eyes were of crystal like mine, and his hair was a snowy white. His gaze caught me off guard and held me in a trance. I hadn't even time to think of opening my wings before I hit the cold, hard earth. I had landed about 20 feet from him and as my eyes fluttered to stay open, I saw him running towards me.
When next I opened my eyes, I saw I was in some strange room, lying on a bed. From what I could see, the room was covered with images of the heavens in murals and on paper. I turned my head and saw that I was alone. I tried to sit up but a sharp pain coursed through my body. My hand shot to the source of the pain and I felt the warm trickle of my silver blood slowly pouring out of one of my wings. I felt weak and vulnerable, and the mear thought made me shake with fear. When could I soar back to my perch? Where was I? I layed there, thinking, until a dark figure entered the room. It was that thing I had seen. It wasn't a 'thing' at all though, it was some sort of human. He wasn't like the humans I normally saw. His skin was pale white, like he had never seen the sun. He sat down next to me in wonderment. I tried to speak but my words would not come to me.
"Hello," he said in a velvety voice, "who are you?"
I tried to speak again but all that came out was a baby's whimper.
"Have you no voice?" he laughed, "or did the ground knock it from you?"
I stared at him.
"Well then, I guess I have to call you something. Hmmm... how about... Nadhja? Yes. I shall call you Nadhja."
He smiled and then left the room. He came back with a tray of strange fruits and other foods. He set it beside the bed.
"I must leave now, to get some more bandages for that nasty wound you aquired. I'll be back soon though."
He left again, and soon after, I blacked out.
