It wasn't that bad. A few people decided to have fun with the media. The BIGGEST clown in the whole year decided to get himself interviewed.
The lady made the mistake of asking if the whole thing included whites. So he puts on his best southern accent and says, "Naw. 'course not! We's get some black in der servin' da food!" They took him seriously. XD So he was on the news for like a week with that ONE quote. Rest of the interview he did normal. So we'd watch it just for laughs. The media also got mooned, one of them -almost- got ran over, they had a fit about two girls showing up to prom together (as friends, but still hilarious), and they weren't allowed inside.
But it was still amusing. The prom itself sucked, since my date was a drag. But the media hype surrounding it and what it did made things a lot funnier. A girl also sold the movie rights for a movie involving it. 'course, I'm hoping the movie was what made her seem like the hero and such. Since the real thing happened -nothing- like the movie. Like in the movie she was supposedly valedictorian and declined. The girl who sold the rights was no where near getting that honor. Plus, from what I heard she didn't even get that much money for it.
The school invited her to talk at the graduation immediately after the movie was released and everyone knew it was her. They booed her off stage. XDXD
I had to take my ex amongst other things. Plus I didn't drive so my mom, who insisted I go, drove me there with her friend. Then there's the fact that a few idiotic preppy girls INSISTED we have segregated proms. Which was just plain out stupid. So the media was outside of my prom.
