Wigs are fun, yesh. O 3O
They work a lot better if you have a wig cap, though. It's kinda hard to make it so your hair doesn't stick out without one. Or at least pantyhose or something. x3;
Remember how my sister was Mello? Every once in a while, I wear her Mello wig for the heck of it. xD
...I cannot pull off blonde hair that well. >_>; Apparently.

Hmm... well, your best bet WOULD be a wig, though if you can't aquire one at the moment...

You could dye your hair black if you'd like... I'd been dying my hair black for about a year now, and it used to be brown. o 3o
Actually, I've stopped dying it for the time being so it'll be brown for a cosplay at Genericon, but... right after that I'm dying it again! > <;

*ahem*... Anyway, there's this stuff called "Color Oops" that changes your haircolor back to your original one, as long as you didn't bleach it. So if you take that route and want your normal color back, you could try it...
My mom found it in Rite Aid, and I can't remember how much it was...

...if it's too much, a wig might be a better choice... >w>;;;;
