Hello, I am a person.

There are some who call me David. I buy and sell shrubberies.
I am a musician, I always have been a musician, and I always will be a musician. And I get paid for it too!
At the present minute, I can play the violin, the fiddle (same instrument as the violin, different style), the mandolin, the guitar, the bodhran (well not really, I can hit it with a stick), the piano, the ukelele, BANJO (woo) and the tin whistle (well not really, but I can make some cool noises). The violin/fiddle is the most important instrument to me.

I am currently studying nothing, but I did study maths, further maths, history, physics, critical thinking, music, and computing at college/sixth form and violin in my spare time. I got a distinction on my grade 8, woo! I was a member of the Thames Vale Youth Orchestra, but then term ended.
My plan is to study for a music performance degree on the violin at Leeds music college - assuming I get at least a C in music. We'll see how it goes.
Music

I love to play the fiddle and have an appreciation for Celtic Folk, Irish tunes, that sort of thing. Things like Altan, Battlefield band, Hanneke Cassel, Eileen Ivers, Alasdair Fraser, The Corrs, Flogging Molly, Brendan Lynch, Loreena McKennitt, etc, etc, other violinny people, like Nigel Kennedy, Itzhak Perlman. But also some metal, (quite a large proportion of the metal genre is in fact, total s**t) Folk metal, Cruachan, Skyclad, Wintersun, Power/prog metal, Blind Guardian, symphony X, Galloglass.

I went to Oxegen festival in Kildare this summer, it was amazing. I MIGHT go next year but I'm also moving out so might not have enough money. Enjoy your pub session! I'm hoping to start learning the fiddle pretty soon and hopefully I'll not be terrible at it.

Yeah, Irish trad is brilliant, the Corrs did some really nice covers. Oh you should totally play in pub sessions, I've done it once at a friend's birthday party and it was brilliant. It's a pity people grow out of metal, especially when you were so hyped coming back from Wacken last year. And it's no problem, my profile doesn't get much attention since my friends left Gaia User Image
