...A long, long time ago, the land of Hyrule, blessed by the three golden goddesses, was a land at peace. But one day a wicked man from the desert appeared and began searching for the doorway to the Sacred Realm where the Golden Power, the Triforce, lay hidden. Chosen for his courage, Link was tasked with preventing this evil man from entering the sacred realm of legend and obtaining the divine relic.

The man however, did indeed enter, but only got his hands on the Triforce of Power. For seven years after he ruled Hyrule.

That is...till Link was brought forth, as the Hero of Time....
