I aspire to be a great artist

SOOO one day I picked up a pencil and some paper....I had no Idea what to do with the pencil and the paper looked so bland....so I began to DRAW!!! thus I began my goal of being an artist. I would like to be an anime artist, because I was inspired by a book called "New Generation of Manga Artist vol. 2" which showed alot of anime pictures. I'd also like to venture to other fields...painting...
