It's only when i gaze into a mirror,
that the stranger appears.
I smile, glance up to see she is doing the same.
a single tear rolls down my face,
she has one too.
I caress the tear that has landed upon my cheek,
and i wonder what right this stranger has to cry.
she doesn't know what it is to be me.
no tears should fall on the pretty faces of the innocent.

Shattering glass, so sweet the sound
i gaze upon the strangers face,
she is not real,
she is not the blood running down my hand,
she is not the tears that we both shed,
she is not the stranger i thought her to be.
This so called stranger is me.
My pain is clearly written upon her face.
My blood on her hands.
My tears from her eyes.

The stranger in the mirror,
was me.
No no tme, what i could have been,
had you not left me to drown in these tears,
staring at this shattered mirror,
and revealing this shattered truth.
