You come across a book on the ground, titled "Myst". You take it and read it, and as you reach the end of the book, you see a linking panel, a sort of moving picture, like the ones in Potter. Awe struck, you touch the panel and WHAM!, you're on Myst, you managed to go to the place desribed in the book. Now you have to learn about Myst and the family that lived there, and find a way back home.

What makes this better is Myst became so popular in its time primerally from its total emersion experience, the first person has no name, personality or identification in the game, so in retrospect you become the first person, add to that awesome (at the time! =P) graphics and a leet soundtrack, all that made a great game, that blow out into a five part saga. So in creating the story I HAD to place a name, personality and ID to the first person and thus eleminating the awesomeness. The comparison is, 'you're no longer the player, you're the guy watching the player.', so to try to dispel that, I wanted to create a new mystery about my character, and so far, I believe I'm doing well. =D
I have a shiny new computer! =D And I'm making a really good story from a computer game! =3
