Hello and welcome to my home page *shakes hand*. My name is Brendon Urie, it's a pleasure to meet you. *Laughs* No I'm just kidding. My real name is Aric Ardell but most people know me as Brendon. Why? Well, according to my friends and peers, I'm a striking image of Brendon Urie, the vocalist of the band Panic! At the Disco. Not only that but I also sound just like Urie, or at least that's what they say. Personally, I don't think I look or sound much like Urie but I guess my opinion doesn't mean much to my peers, because despite what I think they still insist on calling me Brendon *sighs*. Not that I have a problem with that, I mean don't get me wrong I love Panic! At the Disco but I think people are taking this a little too far *laughs nervously*. I mean I've been more popular these last couple of months than ever because I'm a celebrity look alike. *Rolls eyes* It's gotten so bad that that girls have started asking me to sing for them and stuff. I mean yeah I want as much attention from the ladies as the next guy but I think stalking is a little too much attention :S. I think that they've forgotten that I'm not really Brendon Urie *laughs*. *Sighs* it's actually pretty pathetic if you think about it. Anyway here's some basic facts about myself.

The band was first formed in the suburbs of Las Vegas by childhood friends Ryan Ross on guitar and Spencer Smith on drums. The duo would originally play blink-182 covers until they recruited fellow schoolmates Brent Wilson on bass and Brendon Urie on vocals and guitar. Their name was taken from a line in the Name Taken-song "Panic", in reference to a song of the same name by The Smiths.
In order to get their music heard, the band left comments through LiveJournal to Pete Wentz's (of Fall Out Boy), linking him to their PureVolume site. Wentz was so impressed that he drove to Las Vegas to meet them personally. Then he referred them to Fueled by Ramen Records, who signed them (while they were still in high school) to Wentz's imprint label Decaydance. They recorded their debut album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out in Bethesda, Maryland with producer Matt Squire, who had earlier produced Thrice.
Since then P!ATD has recieved more media attention than it can handle!
