My family and I rescue dachshunds (weenie dogs) that have been abused and find them good homes. We currently have 3 that we couldn't find homes for because they've been too traumatized. I need a pack of about 10 following me around Gaia, but I don't know how to do that...
I am married to my best friend MikeE. He has been my best friend for ten years. He is pictured to my left. My other two best friends are my sister, Patsy, and my daughter, Chriss, who is also my hero. She is 28. and moved home to take care (medically) of both her step-father and myself, and doesn't ask for anything in return--that's why she's my hero! Here is her avatar to the right. ===>
I am a schoolteacher, and I live in New Mexico, and teach in Texas. I am handicapped, but the kids help me out, so that's ok.
I read ALOT, and it isn't unusual for me to walk around the class, reading aloud to the kids while they work. I also play classical music for them--ANYTHING to keep them on task and working!!! I teach computers.
I read sci-fi, and fantasy,and while I don't write anymore, I do edit for friends. I read online and off. I read on FF, AFF, Ashwinder, and Petulant Poet. Gaia keeps me sane! When I feel down, I get on here!
Come be my friend, and we can walk the road less traveled together and be cheered because the loneliness we felt is gone...
