Well I haven't been on Gaia in about 2 years. Things have changed and everyone I was friends with is long gone.

So, that being said, send me a pm or something, I need to build up my contacts again.

Actual stuff about me: I am 21. I live in Oregon. I enjoy going on adventures, and when I say that, I don't mean just lame walks in the park, I mean hitchhiking trips across states to see places I've never seen before. I love kitties :3 and I'm sure there are plenty of other things but I would rather have people ask me those things in a pm.

Oh, that's fair enough. :[ Yes, I feel the same way. I do like some of the changes but some not so much. I used to be pretty knowledgeable when it came to the names of items, where/when they were released and how much they were worth. I've been back for nearly two months and still haven't managed to remember them all and the prices on the MP are all over the place. gonk Lucky Gaia put in the graphs feature...

But I do like playing Booty Grab. I made over 12k yesterday from that alone, so that was good. ^_^ That might be an option for you if you get bored with vending and tired of dealing with exchangers. rofl

Right now, I have a small/medium list of items I'm trying to buy at reasonable prices. They're fairly cheap but it all adds up, so I've been spending time in the Exchange trying to get reasonable deals.

That sucks but at least you have some more gold now and 400k is a good amount to vend with.

I did own a pair of Fuzzy Penguin Slippers at one point and I honestly didn't like them. I only kept them for about 15 minutes and I only bought them out of curiosity. I don't think I even made a profit from them. xp Whereas when I bought my Powdy Pengy, I knew it was for keeps. heart

I do know what you mean, though. I did quest an Angelic Pendant (back when they were only 600k). When I actually got it, I found I didn't really want it. I think psychologically, it's a simple case of wanting what we don't have or what seems unreachable. I actually think a lot of the really expensive items are quite over-rated. (Just my opinion, though.)

I left in '09 sometime and just came back 1.5 - 2 months ago. Gaia is just so different now. It seems like a lot of Gaians are taking more and more breaks and for longer periods of time. sweatdrop

Yeah, inflation is horrible. :[ I hope you are able to save up for the slippers in time. I actually think the Powdy Pengy slippers are much nicer but I know how it feels when you still want an item anyway. But 1 - 2 million isn't unreachable. You could aim to earn 50 - 100k a day vending and have them in a few months or so. ^_^ You could vend even more and get them sooner, if you like vending.

Aww, really? lol I think it's really cute. I adore penguins. When I came back to Gaia recently, I saw the Powdy Pengy slippers and knew I had to have them. I thought they'd be really expensive because they're so cute (and also because novelty slippers seem to be quite popular in general) but got a huge surprise when I saw how cheap they were on the MP. xp
