Gothic novels? I don't read alot of Gothic novels but this one that I do know is called " A Blood Confession" It's about a girl that lives during Victorian Hungary. She's the daughter of a king but as she gets older she finds out that she WANTS to be beautiful. So she during that time, a demon that shape shifts into some beautiful roman god, convinces her to drain blood out of her more beautiful servants (Which eventually kills them) And then bathes in the blood. As for action, I suggest the Redwall series. ^^ It's an animal fantasy/ adventure series. There is always some bad warlord that wants to take over Redwall Abbey so there is always a BIG war that goes on towards the end. The author is very descriptive in what goes on during the war! There is also insanely hard riddles that come out during the story so it makes you do quite a bit of thinking too. I LOVE~ the Redwall series. whee
