Ah, yeah. One has a bar/bat mitzvah at age 13 (or possibly 12 if you're a girl).
Rosh Hashannah is the Jewish new year. So, in essence, happy new year!!
Most of the people where I used to live didn't know a thing about Jews until my mum came to read a Channukah story to the class (we were in gradeschool then).

Yay!!! That's really cool! Great...now I've got songs from my friends' bat mitzmvahs stuck in my head. I always think of them when I think of b-days.
