Gaia
I've seen a lot in my time on Gaia, I've made friends, enemies, acquaintances, and people I once would have considered as family. I have wonderful memories through my time on this site, I've had laughs, i've had smiles, tears have fallen from my eyes, and anger has reddened my cheeks. But I can't say I regret it at all. Every memory, every moment, everything is precious to me and not a moment on here should be lost.
I joined gaia in December of 2004, being introduced to it by my best friend, I quickly dove in to it and I never stopped playing. I made lots of friends quickly, i've been judged, and loved by many. I've made friend who have grown famous over the years, and I've made friend I'd prefer to forget their name. From the worst to the Best, Yes I've Lived it on here.
A little bit about myself?
My username is PkGrail but in the real world I just go by Patrick. Originally this username started off as me putting PK, a term used for player killers in the .Hack series, with Grail, a character that I had role played so often that the name never left me.
Eventually I guess I grew out of it a bit, and I just started referring to myself as Pk for the first and last letters of my name. Most people just leave out the Grail now a days so if you want feel free to call me Pk.
I guess this is also the time to just let you guys know that I'm french Canadian. This is kind of important for what I'll be saying after this.
I don't want to date myself in this about me page, because if I don't update it every year people will just think I'm the same age forever. I started playing gaia at 10 years old in 2004. I trust you could do the math from there and figure out my age.
I spent many years studying to be a detective but because of physical restrictions from a surgery I had when I was 17 I was unable to do so. I spent 3 years studying as an archaeology major, and am currently starting a new program at my local university to become an English teacher as a second language.
I honestly do care about my friends. I may not talk to everyone all that often but deep down I really care about everything going on in your lives. I hope to make new friends on here and if we spoke in the past and you're just dropping bye. Hi... I hope you're doing well. smile
Interest, and hobbies.
This part is kind of hard to fill because it changes all the time. I mean as a person you grow, your interests change and your hobbies change so I can only talk about the things I'm into now.
Currently my biggest hobby I'd have to say is probably Body Building. I love working out so much that I spend almost all of my time if not at the gym, studying on how I can make my form better and what I could do to get better results. I began training people as a side job and now it has given me to confidence to step out of my comfort zone and speak to people I never thought I'd be able to. Body confidence has become something that has completely changed my life so if you have any physical health questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I play a lot of video games I guess. I mean when I'm not at the gym or out doors I play games to pass the time. I really like RPGs like Ni No Kuni which take a lot of time and management. I play a lot of shooters with my friends. Since I have a few friends that I only know from the internet I kind of use these games as a way to spend time with them and chat about life. I guess I'd play anything except a sports game. I've really tried to like them but I just can't.
Favourite Games: Dead Space (the entire series), Ni No Kuni, The Last of Use, Halo (mostly ODST).
I also watch a lot of anime. As a kid it was my way to escape the world that I hated so much. I guess I was kind of edgy, but my life was so boring and no one really was around all that often besides the friend I met on gaia that I spent most of my time just watching anime and escaping to another world. Believe it or not but I was part of the popular kids at school, but never someone who was invited to the parties. So just because your friend group is popular does not exactly make you popular. Manga also fits into this, I love manga just as much as I love anime.
Favourite Anime: Cowboy Bebop, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Erased, Hamatora( and Re:Hamatora)
Favourite Manga: Muhyo and Roji, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Specifically part 2 and 7) and Alive (My all time favourite manga)
Finally I guess I could talk about music. I love music. There's a lot that I listen to so instead of naming bands for this one I'll just name a bunch of types. I mean I basically listen to anything. For the most part I listen to music at the gym so I listen to a lot of music that will pump me up a bit, but in the car I try and listen to something that's a little more calm. SO!
Genres: Rock, Grunge, Metal, Nu-Metal, Rapcore, EDM, Country (ONLY Zac Brown Band), Classic, K-Pop, Covers, Blues.
