I'm Kate. My birthday's January 9, 1989- don't forget it. That makes me 19 at the moment that I write this. I am a vegan- that's vegetarian that doesn't use any animal products at all (no eggs, milk, leather, silk, wool, etc.) If you have mature questions about that, please ask in a polite private message. Random, insulting, anti-veg messages will be deleted immediately- please keep an open mind and do not judge me for my chosen lifestyle.
I have a boyfriend, although we feel the terms "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" have lost all sentiment originally attached to them. We would feel just as comfortable saying "fiancé(e)" ... it's only odd as we're teens. Doesn't matter that we have no rings. Anyway, he lives in Canada and his birthday is March 16, 1990. He is also vegan and we are very happy as we are. Should I put in a shocker? Hmm.. yeah I guess so. My boyfriend... DOESN'T LIKE CARS OR SPORTS. Nope. He detests them. Just as much as I do. Amazed? Yeah, expected that. He's a rare one... and I got him. =)
What else to say... I like a whole variety of music. Almost anything except rap/hiphop, most pop, and country (though some songs are kind of catchy.) I love classic rock, 80's music, 90's music, techno, rave, dance, metal, hard rock... Classical music's also good. But the best of all is music that fits in no catagory, as shown by two of my favourite bands, Thursday and Sigur Rós.
Speaking of Sigur Rós (an Icelandic band), I'm very interested in foreign cultures. I love learning languages and about etymology (how words came to be in languages.) Sometimes I look up words at dictionary.com just to find out where they came from (Boy, am I a freak. ^_^ ) I'm formally studying French and Spanish right now, but am picking up bits and pieces of Icelandic, Japanese, and any other language that intrigues me as time goes along.
Oh, and it should go without saying, but I prefer proper grammar. Please use proper spelling and punctuation if you wish to talk to me. I don't care about all those crazy Latin-based rules (which I won't get into, since the only ones that it would matter to are the ones that know it already.) But misspelling simple words just isn't acceptable (of course, typos are a different matter.)
I believe I have embarrassed myself enough so far now. If I recall anything that I forgot to put here that I feel I should.. I will.
