Light shimmers in the shadows
Waiting to be called upon
Love is the master of this tiny light
But hate is the dark room in which it’s kept
Sorrow crys out for love
But love is nowhere to be found
Guilt and hate lock love deep within the shadows
Hoping that it’s never found
The girl of your dreams admits her love for you
But your love is unconscious
The love she declared is true and forever
But still you can’t reply
Calmly you search and cry for the power to love again
The past has left you scared
Love’s pain of being lost still can’t be your end
Love is pure and always true
But she was only using you
You found love in her
And it is cool
