About
Generic Creative Writing 101 Disclaimer
I just want to say before I start -- it [isn't finished/is a very rough draft/is still in the works]. You see, [I really didn't know how to start/I didn't have my "special" pen/I threw it together in five minutes/I can only write at 11 p.m./my muse is on vacation/the characters wouldn't cooperate/I've been under a lot of stress lately/I had to write a report for Biology/I was trying something new/I don't write well in a notebook/I didn't have enough caffeine in my system]. I'm going to [polish it/burn it/work on it/finish it/re-write it/tear it up/overhaul it] when I get the chance, but until then, please bear with me.
Though perhaps the most generic writing disclaimer of all is a simple, "I'm sorry."
