About

Lot's of things make me happy, pretty much anything pleasurable to all the five senses, preferably at the same time. I love potatoes, electro, feminist sci-fi, being somewhere I've never been before, strong coffee with two sugars, massages, cutting my own hair, watching movies that have open endings, lucid dreaming, op shopping, photoshop, joy division, the colour green, lying on the couch, chocolate wafers, big noses and talking to my dog.

Lot's of things I don't like, people obsessed with morissey, waiting at the bus stop, coriander, right wing fascists, how most things are aimed at the lowest common denominator, psycho chihuahuas, lime green, pompous socialists, not being able to find a bathroom, long fingernails, kfc, people who go to uni dressed for a nightclub and stoners who try to emulate bob marley.

Listen to the song ... it will make you >O<

Thank you for the stellar compliment. If it was on the universe scale, that implies advanced technology, so I would say a true credit system was possible. 1 credit = 1 hydrogen atom. Everything is based on actual matter and the only way for something to cost more is direct energies put into its production. It's like a gold standard but backed up by all mass, so nobody holds a monopoly on it, no deflation or inflation, and the only way the amount of money can increase is finding, claiming, and dismantling other planets. This is actually what I put into practice in my Star Wars RPG to explain the galactic economy's seemingly untouchable stability – the biggest financial problem in years was the sudden accessibility of 100% of Alderaan's mass and the consequential 0.0000013% devaluation of Core World currency during the second quarter of the 22nd year of the New Order. rofl

As for the gaian economy, I'd need a ledger and a few hours, but I figure it is as simple as putting a limit on the amount of gold something can sell for - i.e.; a cash shop item can only sell for 20,000 gold in the first month, 5x that after 6 months, and the limit removed after another 6 months; removing the limits on booty grab and then slowly phasing it out entirely over 6 to 18 months; getting rid of RIGs and making all of those items available for cash directly; the removal of the 2% tax on marketplace sales until booty grab was phased out; and flooding some of the old (Nov 2009 through last month) MCs, EIs, and RIGs onto the marketplace for cheap to drive the costs down. I'd need the actual numbers to say, but it should drive gold prices down and net gaia 140% to 230% of their current cash shop revenue.

Of course part of the reason they can't sell RIGs directly is due to copyrights. Many of the items are from easily identifiable brands like Firefly, Cowboy Bebop, Captain Harlock, Star Wars, Star Trek, et cetera. By making them a random item and rare enough to fall below recognizably infringing distribution levels, they can essentially say they are not selling a copyrighted item nor in enough quantity but rather are selling a chance at a random item. They sell them directly and make a direct profit, and probably sell a ton more, making them much easier to file a lawsuit against. But that does not mean they cannot drop those items and sell the rest direct.

There I go rambling again. sweatdrop

Yeah, it does not help that they let the economy spin out of control and then cracked down on the only ways to meet it, so now the prices are pumped up and 90% of the users are priced out. razz
