She hated him just now. She hated the sight of his sleek, shining dark hair, she hated the sturdy muscles, she hated the dark perfect skin that she could see beyond his scars, she hated his soft, silky voice, and most of all she hated his gorgeous eyes that could open her heart and read every emotion written inside it. She wished she knew how to put any amount of distance between the two of them and cursed herself for agreeing to hear him play his violin. As soon as he was finished she was going to make up an excuse to leave "unexpectedly" and she would be finished with him, she would never have to see him again, or hear his deep, hypnotizing voice, or ever even think about him again for as long as she lived.

She strolled along the trail until it opened into the park, where children and teenagers were playing basketball, skateboarding, or clumped together in groups and chatting. The normal kids, who weren't terrified of gorgeous men suddenly popping into their lives and flipping everything upside down in the blink of an eye. Heck, they welcomed that kind of thing.

Suddenly the absurdity of her reaction to him slammed into her face and she burst into wild, unrestrained laughter. She laughed for several moments-- probably longer than appropriate-- and held her aching sides after she recovered.

"Exotic." Setsuna nodded. "That word has been uttered to me in innumerable instances throughout my life." She gave another nod. "I am indeed different, and have always felt it. I have been an outsider and a loner throughout most of my life." She admitted. "I am a very inapproachable and intimidating creature by nature, like my father." She put a hand over her heart. "It took a strong, confident man like Tiger to break down the walls I had around myself."

She squeezed her eyes shut, willing herself to wake up. This was not at all comfortable to her, and she was starting to feel dizzy now. Whoever this person was, he was dangerous for sure.

Taking her to his home was definitely out of the question. No, I think... I'll be alright. It's... the park is just around that corner... She indicated the corner with her hand.

But once they were in the park, then what? Her mind whirled. I don't think it's necessary to... I mean, I'll be just fine... She tried to push herself out of his arms without letting herself fall.

"I find that my mother's beauty is great. I am envious of it honestly." She nodded, clasping her hands together. "She and I have the same face, but different coloring. Her skin is white and pure, and her hair is black as night."

"My skin never changes, but thank you." She smiled and took the edge of his silk cape and dried her eyes. "I am blessed to have two lovely parents. The credit goes to them." She smiled softly.

"My goodness." Setsuna's eyes welled up with emotion. "Goodness, forgive me." She dabbed her eyes with her sleeve. "It's these pregnancy hormones." She uttered a nervous laugh as she dried her eyes and smiled at him gratefully.

She growled inwardly at his last question and ignored it. She studied his walk momentarily. She remembered her teacher having a little more trouble to keep up with her than this fellow was right now. Surely, he couldn't have faked being less adroit back at the school, then suddenly prove his superior speed now. Besides, what was the point?

She shook her head again. This was getting ridiculous. Besides, how would he fake being so much younger? Not that her teacher looked old, but this one's mannerisms were clearly less experienced than those of The Deathwish. And if he was going to fake who he was, he'd have made a much better disguise, and not one which looked so obviously like himself. It was just a coincidence that this dark-haired Adonis looked just like her teacher.

The realization of the irony of also classifying her teacher as an "Adonis" left her in stunned silence once again. Her stomach rolled, and she turned away to hide the look of sickness she was sure was showing more plainly than the flowers adorning her hair. She tried to say something, but couldn't summon anything coherent into her mind.

Setsuna's eyes widened greater, but softened as she smiled. "How very lovely and poetic. That's very thickly lain. But, I am gushing with thankfulness." She smiled at him.

Uwhaa--? N-no, no I'm okay, I'm fine! She quickstepped away from him, forcing her body to stop shaking. She swallowed hard. You know, we should get there quickly, before it gets too dark. You don't want to show up after everybody leaves... She starts walking faster, probably faster than he could keep up with unless he was as used to walking as she was. She almost didn't care, as long as she put significant distance between them long enough to straighten out her thoughts.

"Well, he tells me that he loves me routinely." She gave a joyous smile. "All this flattery is overwhelming." Setsuna admitted as she blushed deeply once more. "But I appreciate it greatly. Especially when I feel like such a fat whale, no offense to my son of course." She laughed, giving her stomach a pat.

She gaped stupidly at him for several moments before she realized both of them had stopped walking. That sharp Russian accent bore into her mind while his soft voice soothed her heart.

Who was this person who looked like her nemesis and spoke like her lover? And what was wrong with her, that she could be so easily affected by his gentle words? Why did she feel like she was suddenly treading dangerous territory?

Why... th-thank you... she stammered, trying to sound grateful. At least this time she wasn't blushing, since she was too confused to anymore. She took another shaky step down the walking trail toward the park, hoping he wasn't analyzing her unsteady gait too closely.

Setsuna covered her mouth with her hand as she laughed. "You reminded me of my husband when you made that face." She laughed and continued leading him down the hall and to the right this time, through a hall of curtains he'd eventually come to recognize that led to the dining hall and kitchen.

The furious blushing returned and she cursed herself for it through the entire trip down to the walking trail. She wondered what she could say to change the subject when she realized it wasn't the subject which bothered her but his casual and polite demeanor toward her which she found simultaneously so refreshing and infuriating. Why was she so easily pleased with compliments, anyway?

Finding a distraction, she pointed at the purple flowers dangling in long tendrils over some of the tree branches. Hey, the wisteria's in bloom right now.

She had to force herself not to laugh. French? No, I'm pretty sure they're not French... She smiled. Oh well. You'll know it when you hear it; that's all I can say. When are you going to the park to play your violin? Is it for a special event, or is that just where you like to play?
