Chemo Angels

Chemo Angels is a volunteer organization dedicated to adding a ray of sunshine to the lives of those undergoing IV chemo treatment. We believe people going through the physical, emotional and mental rigors of chemotherapy deserve some encouragement. Many of our Chemo Angel volunteers are cancer survivors themselves, or people whose lives have been affected by cancer in some way. Our common denominator is a desire to brighten the lives of cancer patients while they are going through this challenging time.

Invisible Children

The Invisible Children Bracelet Campaign creates economic opportunities for people in northern Uganda's IDP camps through employment and the facilitation of savings and investment, while evoking compassion and raising money around the world to support war affected children in northern Uganda.

Invisible Children Education Program awards scholarships to promising students in war-affected communities, ensuring their success through the guidance of a Ugandan mentor and improved learning environments, enabling them to take responsibility for their future, and the future of their country.

Prevent Child Abuse America

Since 1972, Prevent Child Abuse America has led the way in building awareness, providing education and inspiring hope to everyone involved in the effort to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children. Working with our chapters, we provide leadership to promote and implement prevention efforts at both the national and local levels. With the help of our state chapters and concerned individuals like you we're valuing children, strengthening families and engaging communities nationwide.

Our many local programs, prevention initiatives and events help spread the word in your community, creating awareness that prevention is possible. We are a family of friends, professionals, volunteers, donors and parents who are preventing child abuse and neglect before it ever starts.

A Note from the Maker of this Profile

Dear Visitor,

Hello, I'm Reese_Roper. Call me Reese.

I’ve always been a big supporter of charity work. Then, one day, I decided to share my passion with others. And so, I redecorated my profile to sort of “advertise,” if you will, a few charities and foundations that I love.

Now, before I get angry PMs or, heaven forbid, reported for some heinous crime I don’t believe I am committing (but hey, it could happen, I don’t know everything), I am not, I repeat, AM NOT begging for money, running some sort of charity scam, breaking any rules that I am aware of. If for some reason you don’t like what’s here, go away peacefully.

I want to keep this short, so as to keep your attention on the real reasons for this profile layout, but I do have a couple quick things.

First off, I wanted to tell you about a great resource I heard about. Really want to contribute financially, but don’t have the money? Not a problem. There’s a great site called Good Search.com (click image below). Just tell them the charity/foundation you’re supporting (you can change it at any time!), then use it like Google. Search for whatever you need/want to know about. Then the supporters of the site will donate money to your group!

Next, if you have a group you would like to see added, feel free to PM/comment me! I’ll do exactly as I’ve done with the ones I have up so far, giving the logo with a link to their site then giving a bit of info about it. The only (at least, I’m pretty sure it’s the only, but it’s never safe to assume) subject I will not post about is abortion, pro or against. It’s such an enormously controversial subject, I don’t even want to touch it. Sorry.

P.S. If you didn’t know/notice, I pretty much stink when it comes to layouts. I would like this to be a little more spread out, but I don’t know how to get it that way. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Also, I’m looking for a better background, if anyone knows someone who would be willing to make one. I’m no artist, and this was the only pre-made one that I felt could even slightly fit.
