Cloud was born in Nibelheim, and since he was young he has always been a fan of Sephiroth, and hoped to become like him. He left home to join Soldier, and later became Soldier First Class. After certain events, he left Soldier and became a mercenary. After Barret and Tifa hired him to Avalanche, he has already set his mind to fight for the planet. He pretends not to care about anything else than money, but still he believes in what he's fighting for.

Cloud is the strongest character in the game, high HP and MP, also good magic. His limit break are extremely powerful, just dont let Cloud to handle all the kills.

Red XIII is a mysterious creature that looks threatening but is truly kind and sweet. Red is really wise comparing to humans cause Bugenhagen from Cosmo Canyon raised him. But later Shinra kidnapped Red for an experiment. Cloud saved him from Hojo's laboratory at the Shinra HQ where he got his tattoo XIII showing that he was the 13th from 13 experiment samples. He wants to save the planet that's why he joins Cloud.
