You can call me Rose. I am a pretty private yet open person. I'm very friendly but only if I trust you will you get to know the real me.
If you want to be my friend, you just have to be: open-minded, trustworthy, mature, and have stuff in common with me.
I enjoy geeking out with people and having philosophical discussions. I have no shame and I am proud of who I am and I'd like you to be too.
I have an INFP and Healer personality type, just like Princess Diana 3nodding
Though I do often test as an INFJ.
(most likely because I was raised solely by my mother, who is an INFJ)
My Political Compass:
Economic Left: -5.12, Social Libertarian: -7.18
I'm in the same overall square region as Ghandi and Nelson Mandela and roughly in the same position as the Dalai Lama.
My favorite Pokemon has always been:
Mew!
=^.^=
Cloyster is my second favorite.
"I'm a v****a!"
I prefer Digimon though and my favorite digital monster was:
Angewomon!
(Stupid name, awesome design)

BOB SAGET IS THE SEXIEST MAN ALIVE
NO MAN MAKES ME AS WET AS BOB SAGET DOES
It's recently been brought to my attention, that when I straighten my hair I apparently look just like the girl version of the SERIOUSLY? guy:
I CANZ BE MEMES??
If Elphaba and Glinda had a baby, that would totally be me.
Similarly, if Liz Lemon and Jenna Maroney had a baby, that would really be me.
Obviously because I'm a blonde with glasses, but also in terms of my personality. Like Elphie and Liz I'm a complete nerd whose life is always a mess and like Glinda and Jenna I'm an attention-starved fame-obsessed wannabe superstar. It all combines to create a neurotic and snarky, ambitious yet insecure weirdo with the best of intentions.
F - A - Q
Is your real name Rose?
Nope. I've just liked the name ever since I was a kid. Kate Winslet's character and performance in Titanic had a big impact on me and I still relate to Rose DeWitt Bukater. I like that it means "pink" in most languages and roses are everyone's favorite flowers.
You're a manhating feminazi!?
No. I'm a feminist. Radical feminists aren't and never have been the majority of the feminist cause. That's why they're called "radical" and "extremist" and referred to as "nazis", their views don't conform to the actual feminist movement.
So you hate men?
No. A lot of people have mistaken me for a lesbian because a good portion of my posts around here are about feminism and fighting the patriarchy. I guess the assumption is that I can't love and be attracted to men and still want the leadership of the society we live in to no longer be just a boy's club with the odd woman thrown in.
So you're not gay?
I don't believe in the current sexual orientation labels. Most people don't fit into them and they just cause anguish and misery. Most people will display some bisexual tendencies in their life and just as many will have totally weird sexualities that don't make sense.
That being said I'm a complete androphile who happens to be a woman (fancy words for a straight girl). Ironic, I know that someone who isn't even the least bit interested in the same sex is so riled up about sexual minorities being oppressed.
I kissed another girl once. We were both like 9, I think. I thought it was gross and unappealing. Then again she was a terrible kisser... and also 9 years old.
What are your spiritual beliefs?
Currently I'm an atheist secular humanist. Lately I've been having some slight existential crises, but we'll see where that goes. I don't believe in any religions and if you think extra-dimensional beings speak to you you're delusional. Though perhaps we create those delusions to cope with the harsh reality that we are all alone in the universe and there's no presence or force out there guiding and protecting you. Perhaps the delusions are real in a sense because we make them real to us, because they serve a purpose and we need them just to function.
I could go on babbling about that kind of stuff for hours. I try not to because it just depresses me.
**UPDATE**: I'm much more open to metaphysical theories and overall spirituality and holisticism. Synchronicity very much interests me.
Logic however remains my paramount guide in forming my beliefs about the nature of our reality.
You're a Satanist/witch/demon-worshipper!?
No. I just love the occult and symbology, moreso for artistic purposes and self expression than actual belief.
I dabbled in "Wicca" in middle school and it was just as stupid and trite as it sounds.
I've since looked into pragmatic magic (as opposed to theistic magic), spells without any actual belief in magic or deities or anything. Sometimes when I'm stressed or upset I'll make sigils and burn them and then other times I'll do rituals and talk to the Moon and walk around outside naked and things of that nature. Sometimes I'll be drunk or high while doing so, most of the time I'm not though.
I don't necessarily believe in magic, but the magic exercises are like my yoga. Very calming and used for stress relief due to my anxiety disorder.
Anxiety disorder?
I was diagnosed with PTSD as a child and upon further review by psychiatrists still suffer from it. I've also been diagnosed as bipolar with clinical depression. My therapist for three years also suspected I was mildly obsessive compulsive.
Another of my pet causes is fighting for people with mental illness to be respected and understood.
How do you treat your disorders?
In the past I've been medicated with counseling, but currently I have neither of those things.
I don't have any insurance and my family has refused to pay for treatment, so I just make do.
I'm not even sure if I want to be medicated again, though I think counseling would probably help.
Currently I try to use alternative methods to deal with my stress, anxiety, and depression. It's not easy, but life never is.
The best medication I've ever taken is cheap cannabis. I have an extremely low tolerance for THC and if I take too much it causes seizures and dissociation, but just a little bit calms me down and lets me vent out my feelings.
**UPDATE**: Currently I am still not on any treatment plan and I am quite happy with this actually. For over the past year I have been incident free and the overall stability in my life has improved dramatically. I still deal with depressive symptoms, but I have developed excellent coping mechanisms and my anxiety symptoms are almost completely absent.
I'm so happy with my life and I feel so lucky that I have been able to get to this point without medication or counseling.
You do drugs?
What exactly is a "drug" anyways?
Think about it. It's just an arbitrary term used to describe some perception-altering substances, but not all.
Anyways, the only "drugs" I will ingest are caffeine, alcohol, cigarettes, weed, and natural hallucinogens. If it's a pill or artificially created in a lab I won't touch it. I have no desire to use heavier substances like coke or even ecstasy.
edit: though I am interested in LSD, which is created in a lab. Basically I'd rather be a hippie than an addict.
You're a furry!?
Nope. I enjoy being fully human.
I just like some furry art. Plus werewolves just look so cool.
Though, my first crush was Simba from the Lion King...
I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT A "HUSBAND" WAS,
I JUST WANTED TO BE QUEEN OF AFRICA WITH MY LION BEST FRIEND OKAY
Where are you from?
Texas, the Houston area to be exact.
Do you have a Texan accent?
No. Most people from my area of Texas do not.
I do however have an altered vocabulary and I do say "ya'll" and "fixin' to" and such. My friends from other states and countries like to tease me about this.
Why are you such a b***h/whore/freak?
I guess I'm just cool like that.
