It's painful for the first few weeks, then your feet get used to it. Actually, the only reason I'm complaining is because our teacher took a four week break from point and now we have to get used to them ALL OVER AGAIN!!

That's great! This is our first year on pointe shoes, and they KILL!!! Like, I'll put my feet in and an hour later they are magled and red and DISGUSTING! But the class is still a blast.

I loved the movie too! Although, I got into it after one of the older classes did the theme song for their pointe dance (sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm in ballet. Oops sweatdrop ). Sadly, I've never seen the 1960 one, but I really want to see the 1930 Lon Chaney (at least, I think it's 1930... maybe that's Dracula). Whenever I read the book, I end up crying, and people stare at me and all I can say is "This is the most beautiful book EVER!" But they don't get it because they're not really readers. At all.
