She held him close as she came over to sit next to sam. " I think your the first person so far that I've even mentioned him to much less seen him. maria held him securely and pulled the strap from her shoulder and over her head. pulling the warm blanket back to show him to sam. he had richly colored red hair though his eyes were closed he seemed to favor his left hand and had it to his mouth like a pacifier. ' he never really cries to much and he's usually very quiet compared to other children I've see- and it's quite alright. I take care of him but I guess that would kind of make me a surroget mother?" she shrugged. " he's jusr peculiar." she looked down at him and lightly pressed her index finger to his forehead brushing back his hair a little.

Maybe about 15 minutes later she had returned, a pale green sling around her and in that sling she carried the infant. he was nestled against her chest and just stirring again. she found the feline being rather rude and disapproved of his behavior and scolded him upon her entrance. " you know better than to be rude, newton- now be gone from my sight go and laydown." she spoke low bust stern as if she were talking to a person, and amazingly he flattened his ears and listened. she watched him slink out of the room and to the living room. " Je suis desole..Monseiur sam" she apologized. " newton is like that to everyone he first meets. he thinks it's funny and it's not."
